چکیده
Reflection high-energy electron diffraction (RHEED) and ultrafast (UED) are techniques used to characterize crystal structures both statically dynamically. These experimental methods of academic interest due their ability visualize on the atomic level analyze dynamic changes picosecond scale. In this experiment, RHEED UED implemented monolayer molybdenum disulfide (MoS2), a compound that may contribute future microelectronics. Images various patterns presented, analysis is conducted peaks, lattice spacing, photoinduced intensity changes.

Ultrafast electron diffraction using an ultracold source
The study of structural dynamics of complex macromolecular crystals using electrons requires bunches of sufficient coherence and charge. We present diffraction patterns from graphite, obtained with bunches from an ultracold electron source, based on femtosecond near-threshold photoionization of a laser-cooled atomic gas. By varying the photoionization wavelength, we change the effective source ...
متن کاملUltrafast dynamics of defect-assisted electron-hole recombination in monolayer MoS2.
In this Letter, we present nondegenerate ultrafast optical pump-probe studies of the carrier recombination dynamics in MoS2 monolayers. By tuning the probe to wavelengths much longer than the exciton line, we make the probe transmission sensitive to the total population of photoexcited electrons and holes. Our measurement reveals two distinct time scales over which the photoexcited electrons an...
متن کاملStructural and electronic properties of germanene/MoS2 monolayer and silicene/MoS2 monolayer superlattices
Superlattice provides a new approach to enrich the class of materials with novel properties. Here, we report the structural and electronic properties of superlattices made with alternate stacking of two-dimensional hexagonal germanene (or silicene) and a MoS2 monolayer using the first principles approach. The results are compared with those of graphene/MoS2 superlattice. The distortions of the ...
متن کاملUltracold Electron Source for Ultrafast Electron Diffraction
Single-shot ultrafast electron diffraction (UED) was introduced as a viable way to measure ultrafast processes, such as structural transitions in materials. For UED, the dynamics in a sample are induced by a femtosecond laser pulse and ultrashort electron bunches are used to probe the ultrafast processes in the sample. The ultracold charged particle cloud (UCPC) source researched in this work i...
